the spotting that is. However, this time, it's always brown. And while brown blood doesn't worry me into a frenzy, it still bothers me. I have another week to go before my OB appointment. Though I know I could call and see if I can get in earlier. At this point, my brain and heart are both saying there is no need. Wednesday will be 2 weeks since the first spotting started. I thought it was tapering off, but it came back this weekend pretty strong.
Anyway, I'm trying to take it easy...not lift anything heavy and just be all around lazy (LOL).

I don't know if I've commented yet. I spotted with all three of my pregnancies until I was 6-8 weeks along. This last time (I'm due April '09) I spotted brown from week 5-8! It was annoying more than anything. They say the brown is from old blood. I found out I had a subchorionic bleed (a small one). I would call the doc if you're worried. they may just do another u/s to make sure all is still okay. But with it being brown they may not. My doc always just told me to take it easy. No exercise, sex or heavy lifting at all until I've had no spotting for 2 weeks. Hope it tapers off soon. I know how it feels to be dealing with it!
I'm sorry I've been a commenting slacker! I hope the week goes quickly for you :) I wish you all the best!
I hope this week goes by quickly for you. Take it easy!!
Blood is never comforting but I am glad you are remaining calm.
Your appointment will come before you know it.
Hi Amy,
I found your blog through a Google blog search and I'm so very thankful I did. My husband and I are starting our first IVF cycle in December and I have been wanting to find other bloggers who are/were going through the same thing. Thank you for posting your journey...I read all the way back beginning and I share many of your feelings (although my reasons for IVF are different from yours, the feelings are still the same). My blog isn't neccessarily focused soley on IVF, but if you click on the Baby tag, it will give you a little glimpse into what we've experienced so far.
Again, thank you for sharing your story. And congratulations on being just over 8 weeks pregnant!!
