Couponing

Any readers "coupon"? I'm just starting to get into this "craze" and I was wondering how everyone sorts their coupons. My problem is that I forget I have a coupon and don't end up using it...and then it expires. And there are no stores in my area that double so I'm bummed there. Just wondering.

*********************

We spent all day yesterday looking for a suit for DH to wear to an interview he has tomorrow. Lexi only ended up with about 60 minutes total of nap time. Cranky little girl by the end of the day.

*********************

I had 2 phone interviews on Friday for 2 seperate positions. One is a 100% work from home job. The other isn't. Both salaries are at least 5K more than what I'm at now. Fingers crossed that I get to interview with the hiring managers.

*********************

We are expecting 18 - 24 inches of snow here over the course of tomorrow and Wednesday. And the northerly wind will make snow drifts even deeper. NOT looking forward to this. Though Lexi will enjoy herself.

I think that's it for now.

I cut them every week. I don't remember to take them to the grocery store every week, but maybe every other. I saved $20 last week. I'm not all crazy like some people and buy something just because I have a coupon. I only cut coupons for the things we use.

I didn't know you were looking for another job? Good luck to you!

We're not expecting snow, but it's supposed to get into the 20's here starting tomorrow....and you wonder why I get sick! I had on a tshirt yesterday and we went bike riding in the 72 degrees!

I'm trying to coupon more, but having a hard time getting in the habit. Stores around here don't take internet printed coupons so I have to try to remember to buy a newspaper. Pain!

We're supposed to get some sort of snow storm here tonight - I hope not 18-24 inches! I'm not looking forward to it either.

cut them every week and compare them to the grocery fliers. Walgreens, especially, will tend to put things on sale that have coupons that week.

I'm interested in couponing, too. I don't know if I'm organized enough for it...

Good luck on the job prospects!

We have this down to a SCIENCE, but most people say HOW DO YOU DO THAT...but I will explain none the less :)

We shop once a month. Yes it's doable--and yes I know milk, bread etc...but the big shopping is once a month.

We buy a Sunday paper for the coupons. The coupons are stacked until its time for the monthly grocery shop. General rule ANY coupons over $1 is cut out. We are also not brand specific, but brand snobs. So if there are 4 coupons for $1 each for yogurt we will buy 4 different kinds of yogurt. Same with cereal, chips, etc.

We organize our coupons by the store--all frozen goes together, all dairy goes together, all cleaning/storage/paper products go together. We then stack them by the store set up--then when at the store we take the pile for which section we are in.

We try to match up our coupons to our savings card for the biggest bang for our buck and often don't walk out of the store without saving 33% off of our bill.

Now when we go and do the milk, bread, fruit shopping we ONLY buy those things we do NOT go up and down the isles unless we have coupons and are doing a BIG grocery.

This is my favorite past time!
