Racing Heart

So I'm sitting here at work and my heart is racing. I'm not doing anything strenuous...I took my pulse and it's 98! Normal for me is like 70! Anyone else have a rapid pulse during their pregnancy?

It is possible

Me! I have had a racing heartbeat very regularly from the end of the first trimester on. OB explained it was the additional blood flow and my heart working overtime to compensate. It's really freaky, though. Especially the nights when I lay down for bed and all I can hear is my heart pounding away in my ears. Drink as much water as possible, it does help some!
*hugs*

Yep, my heart rate went up when I was pg. Just as long as you can keep your blood pressure down...

Yep, me too. From very early on.

yes! totally normal!

sometimes mine gets to 110-120 and i feel faint and freak out. after drinking water and laying on my left side, it goes back to 90-100 within 10 minutes or so. just telling you that in case it happens to you...

yep - I get it from time to time and my OB assures me it is normal.

It can be a sign of dehydration if your heartrate is high and BP low. Easy to happen when pg. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water.
