23 weeks!

Holy crap! Only 17 more weeks to go! It seems like only yesterday that I got the call telling me my beta numbers...and here I am, sitting at work, feeling my little girl move around...and let me tell you, she's an active baby! Her placenta is slightly anterior, so I feel alot of kicks in my lower intestinal area (like in my rectal area) but I wouldn't change it for anything.

I've been feeling a tightness in my belly lately, that I can only think might be BH. They come maybe once or twice a day and only last about 15 - 30 seconds. I have to mention this to my OB on the 28th when I see him, but I don't think it's anything to worry about? Do you?

DH is home today, and is finally going to get some paint on the nursery walls. We still have to put the crib together to make sure we have all the screws and springs (remember, this crib was purchased in 1976 so some screws may have been lost). I'm really antsy to get in there and start arranging things how I want them. Nesting? Maybe...My need to be organized? Most likely.

I don't know if I've commented before or not but the tightening is BH more than likely. I'm on my 3rd pregnancy and I get them throughout the day. They say to stay well hydrated and try not to keep your bladder too full and that should help. You most definitely should mention them to your OB though. They'd want to know regardless of whether or not they end up being concerned about it. Where you're only having 1-2 a day I'm guessing it won't be concerning. Usually I get 3-4 in an hour in my last 6-8 weeks of pregnancy and they monitor my cervix at that point. Right now I'm only having them a handful of times a day if any.

I have had random braxton hicks on and off for a long while, too, so I am sure it's normal. My doctor did say if they begin to show any pattern or if I have more than 4 an hour to give them a call. I also notice if I increase my water intake (like dramatically, we're talking 2-3 bottles of water in 1-2 hours) they chill out. ;)
Glad all is still well!
*hugs*

Yay for 23 weeks! You will be there before you know it. Tightening definitely sounds like BH contractions to me.

Yeah, I think I started up with Braxton Hicks contractions right around then. You don't need to worry about them at all unless you get more than six an hour. (Right? I think?) But mention them to your doctor so that they can totally dismiss your worries, like mine did to me. :)
