Dopplers

Anyone rent or buy at home dopplers? I'm interested in buying/renting one and I'm not sure where to go. Some sites have them listed for hundreds of dollars while others have their basic ones under $100. Any suggestions? Anyone have one they are willing to sell/rent out?

Just a word of caution. You may want to talk to your dr first. I have heard those are not good to use on a baby on an often times basis. Perhaps that is wrong, but that is what I heard.

Husband and I have talked about this, and as neurotic as I am after our losses, we decided that we'd buy our own less-expensive (but still effective) doppler like Angelsounds once we get to that point in our pregnancy. They come highly recommended and run about 35-45 dollars.

HTH!

I bought one for about $100 off of Amazon. It is this one: http://www.amazon.com/Hi-Bebe-Heart-Monitor-Fetal/dp/B001JDFGXS/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1225579647&sr=1-3

Just make sure you get a real doppler and not a sound amplifier. If it is too cheap, it isn't real. It should be around $100. And I would definitely buy, instead of renting.

Try Ebay. You may find one for cheaper than elsewhere, and you will know the re-sale value if you should decide to sell it yourself.

I got mine new on ebay. Like people said before the cheap ones are amphifiers. The dopplers are around $100. Mine was identical to the one at the drs.
