Swimming in Circles

That's how DH and I feel right now. We just called to get the latest results of his donation. Count is still only 8.3 million...with 0 normal morphology. DH has been seeing a male factor specialist since September...that's why he's been on Clomid since then...that's why we've put off cycling again. The MF specialist (MFS) never indicated to DH that he had no normal swimmers. At least that DH can remember. MFS always had DH's counts at around 1 million...but gave us the impression that those were 1 million healthy swimmers. We thought the reason he was on Clomid was because MFS wanted to increase his count. We knew he'd probably have to make a few deposits to the cryo bank before we cycled, but we're just so frustrated with everything. Why can't any doctors give us a straight answer? Will we or won't we be able to use his sperm?

Uggh. So when will you learn anything? I love how in the dark doctors make you feel about this whole process.

I'm wishing you all the best. And a straight answer asap!

I hate waiting for answers. I think it is the worst part of a lot of this. I hope you get the answers you want soon.

I can relate to this frustration--we had to ask SEVERAL times during the initial testing what everything meant--doctors sometimes forget we-a-dont-speaka-their-language.
Do you feel comfortable asking for a sit down consult to get ALL your questions answer, so you all feel more prepared to move forward?

I'm so sorry that you guys are going through this. We're now on our second urologist and he won't answer any of our questions. It's just soooo frustrating! I'm there with you.

You would think that would be something that would have mentioned before, huh? It is just insane what it takes to get clear answers out of these doctors!

Wishing you some clarity ASAP!

I hope you get some straight answers soon. As if the whole crappy situation isn't bad enough, you shouldn't be forced to deal with mystery piled on top.

Welcome to the Braces Bunch! I've been following your blog for a couple of weeks and have been meaning to comment since JJ sent out the list of new folks. Sorry it's taken me so long! I'll be checking in and rooting for you.

Amy-

It seems like a pretty straight forward question...I'm surprised your DR is not being more direct about the situation.

IVF with ICSI only requires a handful of good ones...

Sorry you're having a hard time!

I hope that you will get conclusive answers soon. It's terrible that it has to be so difficult to get a straight answer in the first place.

I hate doctors. When all you want is a YES or NO they come up with a "well maybe" Its so frustrating. Here's to hoping things work out soon!n

Ugh. I hope you get answers soon! It's infuriating to be kept in the dark about YOUR medical information.

My husband has poor morph and count also. Morph is a tough one. If I can share any info, let me know.
